The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Transcorp Hotels, Mrs Dupe Olushola anounced that Transcorp Hotel Plc has commemorated the listing of its Rights Issue of 2,642,124,511 additional Ordinary Shares valued at N10 Billion.
The listing which was commemorated with the digital Closing Gong ceremony at the NSE to bring the day’s trading to a close, was aimed at expressing appreciation to the company’s shareholders, regulators, and market operators for their collaborative efforts towards the completion of the N10bn Rights Issue and listing of 2.64bn ordinary shares
It would be recalled that the hotel had announced the N10 billion right issue in July 2020 and had started receiving listing since November 2020. According to the company, the shares which are being issued from the authorised share capital of the company at N7.50 billion of 15 billion ordinary shares of 50 kobo each, it’s post-offer fully paid-up share capital therefore will be N5.13 billion of 10.26 billion ordinary shares of 50 kobo each.
In a statement by the Chief Executive Officer, NSE, Mr Oscar Onyema, Transcorp Hotel Plc has successful raised a capital with a Rights Issue of 2,642,124,511 additional Ordinary Shares which was 99.3 per cent, despite the prevailing economic challenges. He further congratulate the management of the company for their effort to ensure sustained growth in the company.
