(A TALKE interview with two top Executives of FilmHouse Cinemas, Nigeria, Mr Nnamdi Azike and Miss Tolu Senbanjo)
After nearly three decades of lying comatose, the cinema culture in Nigeria has, over these past few years, gradually sprung back to life. One of the organisations that have made this possible is the FilmHouse Cinemas which, has movie complexes around Nigeria’s major cities. On this episode, our crew visits the Ventura Mall, Ibadan, Nigeria to engage with Nnamdi Azike (Branch Manager) and Tolu Senbanjo (Operations Manager) of the FilmHouse Cinemas so as to gain useful insights into the nature of the Big Screen business globally and locally. The conversation also took us on an illuminating journey into other industry issues such as sourcing for movies, contracts and MOUs, understanding audiences’ viewing interests, preferences and motivations, business systems and processes, sales/marketing and promotions, branding strategies, customer service, business development strategies, industry regulation, personnel/staffing and other operational issues.
