The global consulting business is currently estimated at $150 million with the industry averaging in 5% growth rate for the last two years. The top five segment are operations consulting, financial advisory, strategy consulting, HR consulting and I.T. consulting. Despite low GDP grow and numerous socio-political and economy challenges in many African countries, the past few years have been good years for the African consulting market. The continent 19th largest market have collectively recorded an annual growth rate of 6.3% to reach the total value of $2.91 billion. This impressive growth has been attributed to increasing tolerance of uncertainty and increase gains in client maturity among entrepreneur on the continent.
